Adult Education

Domestic Violence Education Classes: This is an ongoing three-week class that includes information on the progression of violence and types of abuse, power and control and healthy relationships, and the affects of domestic violence on children and other support systems. This class is free and open to adult females. Males seeking the information can call the education coordinator at 345-6555 to set-up the same classes on an individual basis.

Women's Empowerment: This is a 12-week educational course that includes more detailed information on healthy relationships, as well as assertiveness and boundaries, anger, guilt and shame, wellness for women, self esteem and body image issues, and basic finances. Registration is required. Please call our Education Coordinator for further information.

Parenting: This 8-week course guides parents to develop self-confidence in their parenting skills, increase empathy and emotional attunement, learn specific skills to deal with crisis situations, stress, and overwhelming emotions, and explore effective parenting techniques using the "Love and Logic" curriculum.
