Non-Violence Program

YWCA Omaha offers men's and women's non-violence classes for those who are abusive to intimate partners or family members. The program is 24 weeks in length with classes offered at various days, times, and locations. The goal of the YWCA Omaha is the safety of women and children. These classes offer abusers the skills to help meet that goal by learning new methods of behavior that eliminates the use of power and control in relationships. The intake process includes: calling the YWCA Omaha 345-6555 and requesting that an information packet is sent to you, obtaining the documents listed on the information sheet and the intake fee, calling and making an appointment to complete an intake and select the class day, time and location most suitable for you. There is a fee for this service and a weekly fee. Additional information:

Out-Patient Drug and Alcohol Program

YWCA~Omaha is identified as the preferred provider by the State of Nebraska Department of Probation. The Out-Patient Drug and Alcohol curriculum meets the standards of the State of Nebraska Voucher program in evaluating program duration, quantity and time-span of classes, with the inclusion of individual weekly counseling sessions.

The Out-Patient Drug and Alcohol program, in addition to the YWCA~Omaha Men's Non-Violence Program are cognitive based programs which provide men the skills to deal more effectively with the stresses of daily life which are further impacted by various environmental influences.
